Before coming to Public Justice, Tonia had three years of gift processing experience with the United States Naval Academy Foundation. In her capacity at the Foundation, Tonia provides much-needed assistance in processing and database operations.

Shoshana Finacom has been Office Manager and Executive Assistant in the West Coast Office of Public Justice and the Public Justice Foundation since September 2004. She came highly recommended by Public Justice Foundation Past President Gary Gwilliam, of Gwilliam, Ivary, Chiosso, Cavalli & Brewer, a prominent plaintiffs’ personal injury firm in Oakland, CA.

Cassandra Goings, Outreach Coordinator at the Public Justice Foundation, networks with other public interest groups and members of the legal community, develops programs to enhance diversity, expands speakers bureau, and manages the operation of the State Coordinators Network and essay contest.

Chief Operating Officer

Gary Gold-Moritz joined the Public Justice Foundation as Chief Operating Officer in October 2010. Previously, Gary was COO at the Children’s Law Center in Washington, serving in that capacity for five years. Gary received his J.D. in 1993 from the Boalt Hall School of Law at the University of California, Berkeley, where he was an editor of the California Law Review; won Jurisprudence awards in Torts, Civil Procedure, and Political Theory; and the Moot Court Best Brief Award.

Katie Golieb joined the Public Justice Foundation in September 2011 as Development Program Assistant. Before arriving at Public Justice, she worked in the non-profit sector and gained several years of experience in administrative, fundraising and development work. She now assists the Development team on all assigned tasks, including seeking and managing foundation relationships, assisting with member recruitment, retention and cultivation, and other membership- and special event-related tasks.

Susan Gombert, CMP is Meetings & Events Manager at the Public Justice Foundation. She is responsible for all aspects of the Foundation's meetings and special events, and is a staff liaison to the Foundation's Gala Committee.

Evan Hicks joined Public Justice after a decade of political fundraising. He has worked on two presidential campaigns, for four members of Congress, and four judicial campaigns.

Evan graduated from the University of North Texas with a major in Political Science. He is a native of Fort Worth and currently lives in Washington, D.C., with his wife, Christina Gomez.

Norma Sapp is the Office Manager in the DC headquarters.  Norma has spent much of her career managing office operations for both non-profit organizations and for-profit companies in the Washington, D.C. area.

Yvonne Stewart joined Public Justice in 2011 as a Legal Assistant. She assists Senior Attorney Paul Bland, Staff Attorney Claire Prestel, Food Safety & Health Attorney Jessica Culpepper and Kazan-Budd Attorney Leah Nicholls on their many public-interest cases.

Kevin Sturtevant, CFRE, Development Director, arrived at the Public Justice Foundation in March 2011, after nearly twenty years in fundraising. He has spent his career working for national and international organizations, including World Food Program USA, the Human Rights Campaign, Reading Is Fundamental, and many others.

She joined Public Justice in 1995 as the Receptionist and was promoted to several other positions.

Kathleen Morris joined Public Justice in January 2012 as Legal Assistant to the West Coast Office attorneys. Prior to coming to Public Justice, Kathy worked as a paralegal for a small civil litigation practice which represented clients in a wide variety of real estate, business, and construction litigation matters involving mortgage lenders and brokers, real estate agents, individuals and corporations.
